FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY

[[2 Tim 4:5]] But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Every child of God must appreciate the fact the a ministry is entrusted into his or her care. We all have a ministry. This does not mean that we should all start churches. Ministry simply means service. Therefore, every one of us as children of God are called to do christian service (Eph 4:11-13).

In our opening text, Paul advised Timothy to do the work of an evangelist, and make a full proof of his ministry. Please note that Paul didn’t ask Timothy to become an evangelist (he was a pastor). Rather, he told him to “do the WORK of an evangelist.”

We prove our ministry by doing the work of an evangelist. There is the OFFICE of the evangelist (Eph 4:11), and the WORK of the evangelist. The work of the evangelist is evangelism -soul winning. When we get busy with soul winning, we make a full proof of our ministry. Everything we do in and outside the church must focus on winning a soul and touching a life for Jesus. Like Jesus, we must seek and save the lost (Luk 19:10).

For most of us, we don’t have to look further; we just have to look at our immediate family and we’ll find lost souls. We need to reach out with urgency in our hearts. A soul is counting on your obedience to be saved. The time has come to do the work of an evangelist: make a full proof of your ministry. Win a soul today.

Prayer:*
Dear Lord I have heard your word. And with zeal and passion in my heart, I reach out to win the lost. I receive the anointing and grace that makes evangelism easier and I boldly reach out to the lost in Jesus’ name. I take advantage of every single opportunity to win a soul today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
