[2 Tim 3:15]] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Paul the apostle had natured Timothy in the faith. He had also watched how his grandmother, Lois , and his mother, Eunice poured their faith into Timothy (2 Tim 1:5). Paul testified to the fact that this up bringing had generated wisdom in the young man. Like wise, as parents, we need to make teaching our children God’s word our priority. This is how to raise them in the way of wisdom.
The word of God is the wisdom of God. Paul said to Timothy that knowing the scriptures are ABLE to make one wise. This suggests that even if you were not wise, knowing God’s word releases the ability for wisdom in you. Every student needs the word of God. Every politician, business person and leader needs the knowledge of God’s word: that is where wisdom for successful living begins.
David the king meditated constantly on God’s word; he saw the impact of it on his life. He boldly declared, “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for Thy testimonies (the word) are my meditation.” (Psa 119:99). Wisdom is the principal thing, Solomon affirmed; “therefore get wisdom” -Prov 4:7. Jesus also said wisdom will justify her children (those that possess it) -Luk 7:35. And the source of the divine wisdom is the word of God.
Knowing the word, meditating on it daily, and allowing the word of God to guide you (like you are doing now) will generate divine wisdom in you. It will make your profit visible to all. Make time and meditate on God’s word today and always. Paul admonishes his son Timothy;
[[1 Tim 4:15]] Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Father I thank you for your word which is wisdom in me. I declare in Jesus’ name that the word saturates my intellect with divine wisdom. Through meditation, I access and walk in divine insight into all truth in Jesus’ name. Amen
