[[Rev 6:6]] KJV And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
In his revelation, John saw a black horse and its riders who had a pair of balance in his hand. Then a voice said “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
This revelation is symbolic of economic catastrophe. Power was given to the horse rider to enforce harsh economic conditions. It’s important as God’s people that we rightly interprete the times and seasons. The current economic meltdown and calamities that have befallen our world today is prophetic. It’s true that our leaders have a responsibility to deal with the economic crisis, but we must always remember that God’s word has said cannot be annulled.
This is why instead of criticizing our political leaders, we must rather pray for them that divine wisdom will be granted them. We live in prophetic times. The carelessness of political leaders must not be swept under the carpet, notwithstanding, we must appreciate that the state of the economy is actually a sign of the times. Let’s discern, but most importantly, let’s pray.
Father your word is true. I pray for our leaders, declaring your wisdom at work in them to produce answers to the economic crisis in the world today in Jesus’ name. Thank you Lord.
