Joh 5:21 KJV For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
In the above, Jesus spoke concerning Himself, that just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the son gives life to whom He will. The basic principle here is that the son gives life as he will. He can choose to or not to raise the dead.
However, we must understand that in Christ, we are also sons of God. John 1:12 says God has given us the power to become sons of God. Jesus said the works that He did shall we do also (John 14:12). He also told us to raise the dead (Matt 10:8). Isaiah 53:10 says, “…Thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his day…”
In other words, through the death of Jesus, we have become the seed or offspring of God. Therefore, Jesus shall prolong His days in us, or better still, live through us. Paul puts it this way,” I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God… (Gal 2:20).
Think about it? We are sons of God. Christ lives in us. Christ prolongs His days in us. This means we do exactly what Christ was doing. In effect, we are life givers. We can raise the dead at will. No wonder 1 John 4:17 say “… as He is, so are we in this world.” Step out today knowing that you’re a life giver. Command life into anything dead and it will life! Glory to God!
Christ lives in me. I’m the earth-walk of divinity. I’m a life giver. I’m a dispenser of life. Nothing dies in my hands. Hallelujah! I can raise the dead!
